What was the strategy/knowledge that you were learning?
The strategy/knowledge I used was... I can add and subtract using the place value strategy.
How well did you use the strategy/knowledge? Give an example
I used the strategy well because I thought about it an got most of it right.
What challenges/ mistakes helped you with this new strategy/knowledge?
The challenge/mistake I made was when I … added the wrong thing together and got the wrong
answer. For example when I went 897+100 =997 997+50 I some how got 1408
This helped me because.. I know now to look back to the answer I got and double check.
We like how you have used the place value add/sub strategy correctly by separating your numbers into places. Next time try challenging yourself with larger numbers.
